The energy-intensive nature of the cement industry, coupled with a multitude of process and mechanical problems, make the cement industry another top candidate for ADEX optimization.
ADEX has developed the CLIMAX family of systems for the optimization of cement production lines. They have been designed to optimize: the mix of raw material, the cooler, the kiln, raw mills and cement mills.
The combined application of the CLIMAX family of systems results in the optimization of cement production. CLIMAX means CLInker MAXimization.
Part III of the book “Adaptive Predictive Control: From the Concepts to Plant Optimization” is dedicated to the optimization of kilns and mills of the cement industry. A case study for mix processes is considered in this section.
