ADEX teams up with Tecnatom whom will offer Self-tuning AI solutions in LatAm and the Middle East
We are proud to announce a partnership between Tecnatom, one of the world’s reference engineering and technology solutions companies, and ADEX.
Tecnatom will offer the Next Generation Platform of the ADEX Self-tuning AI to its customers’ combined cycle gas turbine power plants in LatAm and the Middle East.
Energy transition plans are making Energy Imbalance Markets promote system flexibility to enable the integration of renewable energy sources in the mix. As a result, existing generation assets have to operate differently.
CCGT power plants will play a key role in enabling the transition in those countries. Particularly, coal phase-out plans, higher shares of intermittent renewable energy, and the pressure for decarbonizing the mix are forcing combined cycle power plants to new challenging operating profiles.
Tecnatom’s mission is to ensure the safe, efficient, and excellent operation of its customer’s power plants. The company provides services and products with highly advanced technology, which are constantly being improved to adapt to the needs and requirements of its various clients and markets.
Now, Tecnatom counts with a new software tool with a short commissioning time to help combined cycles to address the new challenges of the market.
ADEX has developed a catalog of Optimizers integrated into the ADEX Self-tuning AI Platform that covers the requirements of plants looking for flexibility increase and performance improvement. In particular:
These Optimizers align CCGT power plants to the new market context and help them to:
- Reduce heat rate.
- Reduce thermal stress and fatigue.
- Improve reliability.
- Shorten startup time.
- Increase flexibility, particularly ramp rates and minimum load.
Thus, they can be more dispatchable and enable more room for renewables in the mix and higher energy efficiency of the existing generating assets.
We hope we will jointly make a more Sustainable World
