Various Sections of the IEEE in India have invited the President of ADEX as Distinguished Lecturer to deliver a cycle of seminars on Optimized Adaptive Control and its Industrial Applications in September 2010.

The IEEE sections of Mumbia, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Hyderabad have invited Professor Juan Martín Sánchez, the President of ADEX and Professor of the UNED (Open University of Spain), to deliver a cycle of seminars on the subject “Optimized Adaptive Control and Industrial Applications”. The seminars will take place from the 12th to the 22nd of September 2010, and the aim is to open a dialogue with engineers, both in industry and in academia, on the problems of industrial control and how they can be overcome using the most advanced technologies currently available and moreover, how these key enabling technologies could help the International Community combat climate change and achieve sustainable economic growth.

Professor Martín Sánchez, who last year received the title of IEEE Fellow for his contribution to adaptive predictive control methodologies, will present the basic concepts and their application to optimized control in industrial areas such as power generation, environmental and cement among others.

The Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, known by its acronym IEEE, has more than 300,000 members, is the largest international engineering organization and has the highest credibility in electrical and electronic technologies as well as in IT and industrial control. The title of IEEE Fellow is awarded only to those members who have made extraordinary achievements and contributions to science and technology.
